LocalTech.org is a website I developed to help churches and small businesses utilize technology and the internet to inform and stay in touch with their customers or congregations. LocalTech.org is a branch of Empowered For Service, a ministry I started to serve my local churches and community, which also includes BiblicalMan.org, a spiritual resource site for men in pursuit of biblical manhood.

There are a few ways LocalTech.org accomplishes its mission.

  1. Providing links to other helpful technology & social websites.
  2. Providing a list of helpful applications and programs with an explanation of how they operate and why they may be helpful.
  3. Offer a step by step guide to installing your own Content Management System on your own shared server.
  4. For a small fee I can set up coordinating website, Facebook, Twitter, & email accounts for your church or small business.
  • The fee is small because I use a fairly simple process & I enjoy doing it on the side as a ministry and hobby.
  • After the install I give full control of the site and social network accounts to the customer, show them how to use the simple Content Management Software on their new website and that’s it.
  • If desired, website information is pushed directly to the Facebook and Twitter accounts to easy the pain of constant updating.
  • So, within just a day or two you could have your company’s/church’s internet identity established (website, email, etc.). i.e. www.mycompany.com | myname@mycompany.com | www.facebook.com/mycompany | www.twitter.com/mycompany
  • I do not maintain or host the websites so I do not charge a monthly or annual fee, but there are some monthly, and annual fees from the companies that would host your website and register your domain name.
  • Monthly fees usually run around $10-$12 to host your website.
  • Annual fees usually run around $15 or so.
